Animals returned to the wild in Yunnan

Mengyang National Nature Reserve in southwest China released 83 animals into the wild on April 8 as part of a week of activities organized by the Yunnan Provincial Government to raise awareness of the need to protect the region's rich and varied wildlife. The nature reserve is in the Xishaungbanna Dai ethnic autonomous prefecture of Yunnan Province, not far from China's borders with Myanmar and Laos. The Yunnan Government organized the week of activities -called Bird-Loving Week- to encourage people - especially the young - to protect wildlife and live in harmony with nature.
