Background
The 13th World Lake Congress will be held on November 1-5,
The Objectives of Session 5
The session will provide an opportunity for participants to exchange views on lake protection in the filed of water resource and quality planning and the use of market-based instruments for water management. The main objectives of session include: 1) discussion current situation of lake pollution and prospect for framework of lake pollution prevention and control planning; 2) using Market-based instruments and financing mechanisms to effective implementation of lake pollution prevention and control.

The thematic session 5 will have 4 hours and cover two sub-sessions Session 5 will be chaired by Prof. Wang Jinnan, vice president of Chinese Academy for Environmental Planning.

Chinese experts and foreign experts will give presentations for lake pollution prevention and control, drinking water source etc. Through presentations, useful experiences will be obtained and can be applied for future water pollution control planning. |

Authors who are interested in submit papers for this session after 20 September 2009 are asked to email your paper to Mis.
